About me and my practice

Hello, my name is Wendy, I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I work as an Integrative Counsellor who incorporates several counselling modalities, with a strong influence of Person-Centred therapy, this approach is designed to focus the therapy on you as an individual, therefore, putting you in control of your own healing process, it enables you to have full autonomy and empowers you to have full control.

I believe that the quality of the relationship between client and therapist is one of the most important factor. I aim to help us build a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to share your feelings and experiences.

Counselling sessions are set within a safe and confidential environment online where you will never be judged, as you work through your issues. The aim is for you to establish new coping strategies, techniques and skills which help you to set your own boundaries and enabling you to establish an achievable new balance in your life moving forward.

Face-to-Face sessions are available.

I have experience with miscarriage, child and adult child loss, bereavement, anxiety, medical diagnoses, suicidal and self harm intrusive thoughts, lack of confidence and self-esteem, anger issues, depression, relationship issues, autism and ADHA and various other presenting issues.

If you want to know more, please don't hesitate to message me and I will endeavour to answer all your questions.

Experience

In addition to my personal practice development, I have volunteered at various charities offering counselling to children and adults often with complex needs, who couldn't otherwise access counselling due to low income.

I trained on a voluntary basis for a charity, Evolve, who helped those suffering from various mental health issues, such as, depression, bereavement, addiction, ADHD, Menopause, Autism, Relationship issues, work and many others.

I trained with Place2Be where I worked with primary school children on a 1-1 and group basis, on a voluntary basis.

I volunteered with a charity, The Charlies Angel Foundation who worked with clients who suffered the loss of a child young or old, experienced miscarriage and the termination of a baby both elected and medically. Pregnancy & Infant Loss
